What is PNR Status?
You have listen about PNR but you wonder what it actually
means or what PNR Stands for?
PNR Stand for Passenger Name Record. It is 10 digit
number which holds passenger information like its name, seat number, age, Train
no., journey details or simply it’s a record of the passenger or group of passenger
( i.e. travelling together) in the CRS ( Computer Reservation System) Database.
PNR Term is widely used in the travel industry like
airways and railways. If you have booked ticket from IRCTC Login you will find
PNR number on the ticket or you can find it on your regular counter ticket with
ten digit number.
PNR number is located on the top-left corner of your
ticket or E-ticket. IRCTC PNR number let you know about the current status of your
railway booking. Using PNR you can check your seat is either confirmed (CNF) or
still in waiting list (WL) or RAC (Reservation against Cancellation) list.

to check PNR Status?
PNR Status can be checked directly online at IRCTC
Official site at http://irctc.co.in. Visit IRCTC official site then click Enquiries
-> PNR Enquiry. Now you will redirect to new window as shown below.

enter captcha and click on submit button.
Apart from online method, there are some more alternative
to check your Booking Status (PNR Status) through voice calling and SMS.
Dial 139 from your landline or mobile phone and follow
the instructions to know the Status OR get PNR status through sms, Type: SMS: PNR <space> 10-digit
